There are lots of on-campus possibilities for lunch and even dinner.
Solutions for students struggling with food insecurity are also available.

On most of the University of Bordeaux campuses, you'll find university dining halls (RU) run by the CROUS (Regional Centre of Student Social Services).

You can get a full meal is available for just 3.30€. There are also cafeterias or Crous'Markets offering fast food.

If you'd rather bring your own food, there are a number of user-friendly facilities centrally located on the campuses: microwaves, picnic tables, etc.

Izly: your electronic wallet

At CROUS cafeterias and university dining halls (RU), you can pay with Izly, the payment app on your Aquipass student card, or with your phone via the mobile app.

With Izly, you can also get coffee from campus machines, pay for your photocopies at the university library and earn points entitling you to benefits.

Fresh food baskets and solidarity grocery shop

To combat food insecurity, the University of Bordaux and its partners have taken several initiatives.

Campus baskets

Les Petits Paniers Campus ('Little Campus Baskets' / in French) distributes local, seasonal fruit and vegetable baskets delivered on Bordeaux campuses for 5€.

To order:

Go to one of the distribution points (in French) at the indicated times
Order and pay 5€ for your vitamin-packed basket (you'll be given a receipt)
Come back to the same location the following week with your ticket to pick up your basket and order another one for the following week.

Solidarity and social grocery store: Comptoir d'Aliénor

The Comptoir d'Aliénor (in French) offers food and other products at prices 60% below market price.
To take advantage of these prices, you must apply to the Atena Federation to become a beneficiary.

Free food distribution

The public health crisis has increased food insecurity in the student population.
That is why the University of Bordeaux benefits from the help of local partners such as Linkee (in French) or the Atena Federation (in French) for the free distribution of foodstuffs for students most at-risk.

Food trucks on the Bordeaux campuses

The university offers a wide range of very local, diversified (with vegetarian and vegan menus, for example) and affordable (from 4€ to 10€) food trucks, including on certain outlying sites.
